Elite CIC deliver two workshop programmes to help the young people we support by focusing on 4 areas of endeavours to engage, motivate and inspire young people:
Workspace and Business Skills Workshop
Elite Community are the number one advocates for the upskilling of young people in the workforce today. We believe young people have the brightest ideas but need the most advice on how to present their ideas as a business. We deliver weekly drop-in sessions to aid young people looking for business advice or ways to improve their workplace skillset.
We also offer set training sessions on a weekly first-come, first-served basis on workplace skills such as Microsoft Office package training sessions, workplace communication skills sessions teaching young people how to communicate professionally in the workplace and more.
The Financial & Mental Wellbeing Workshop
We believe in financial literacy and the positive mental health of young people in the UK. This is a huge issue we have noticed affects young people today but is not fully addressed by society. 1 in 5 people experiencing mental health problems also experience money issues and 50% of people in debt experience a mental health problem. This workshop was designed to give young people a positive outlook on their finances, athem about the management of finances, budgets and how our mental health can be affected by finances.
We deliver monthly two hour sessions detailing about financial control, budget management and mental health first-aid advice from our in house practitioner.
STEM
We know that the next industry leaders and technical workers with the brightest innovations will arise from the next generation. At Elite Community, we focus on empowering young people in STEM subjects to increase their opportunity to develop new ideas and creativity in this space. Employment in STEM occupations is projected to grow 8.8% by 2028. It is the main drive of our economy and we are determined to aid young people to pursue development in these courses. We offer tutoring sessions, career help and advice, STEM business workshops and more to the young people in our community. These offerings have allowed many of our young people to gain jobs in STEM sectors and aided them to achieve degrees in STEM fields.
